going to give it a try again...found a used one locally for a good price...will pick it up later this afternoon.

Joe,
I think the 60 is a great all-round lens; hold onto it for awhile. Take it out for a few solo walks. Its fantastically sharp, nice bokeh, got the macro ability if you need it. I like it for its ability to shake up my perspective on what is interesting subject matter.

been trying the 18 a lot lately but just not feeling the wide view of things...so maybe something longer will help.

I keep the 18mm around for when I eventually get back to doing some landscape stuff. I'm thinking a great street kit might be the x-Pro1 (or X-E1) with the 60mm lens, and the X100s with its 35mm equivalent lens.

I was hoping to hear some definitive news about the release date of the 56mm. At this point, it looks like it might not be until the middle of 2013.......

I'm enjoying the 60 macro..

i'm hoping the 27 will be a killer lens...that will be my main street lens...

I'm thinking it will be. However, I'm just not sure if we'll ever see this lens. They keep showing it, but we never hear of a release date or pricing. Must not be a priority in these days of "fast" lenses for the bokeh crazed crowd or zoom **** for the zoom crowd. ;)

i long for that 35/1.4 lens. problem is, i'd need a body for it. :)

joe, enjoy the 60. seems it'd be perfect for you and your people/food/market series ...
