I've decided to stop dithering and order a GF1. I found a boxed, as-new but second-hand, model online - accompanied by the 20mm f1.7, the EVF and a spare battery for £650. That's not far off the price of a new body & 20mm package without the EVF so I think I did ok..

I'm now looking around to see what weird and wonderful lenses I can attach to it :D

Well it arrived. I haven't had much time to play yet but I did take a few on Friday evening..

The bokeh of the 20mm f1.7 is really nice..

And it's really sharp! I got the optional viewfinder which I like - the way it can swivel 90 degrees upwards adds to compositional possibilities..

I quite like the results of converting to B&W and adding some grain in Lightroom too. You definitely have to watch the highlights compared to film/dslr though.

I'm looking forward to trying out some more, preferably somewhere more interesting than my garden! (I'm not really a fan of wide open aperture flower shots that are used as test shots but I had to grab what I could). I will update with opinions and more photos when I can.

Thanks both :)

I'm considering adding a longer lens - possibly even the 45-200mm, but first I think it needs a Gordy's strap..
