Important: pick-up only, London around Aldgate East. Alas I have not the time or energy to arrange delivery.

Up for grabs, one Nikon F4S (F4 with MB-21 grip) with DP-20 eye-level finder, plain back, eye cup, body cap, and a lifetime of scars. It's old, worn, and I dare say has served as a melee weapon on more than one occasion, but it still keeps chugging along. Only flaw that I can remember is the frame-counter LCD is dead and has been blacked out; since the external counter works, this ain't no big deal. I'm passing this on because I just can't get to grips (ha ha) with the grip - it's far too big and bulbous for my hand, to the point where I get hand cramp from carrying it. Also the presence of shooting modes hurts my poor little man-brain. A real pity, because in every other respect the F4 is a great camera.

First to claim this and can pick it up (or arrange for someone to do so on his behalf) the week after next, gets it. Costs you nothing and I get the satisfaction of knowing that it'll be back in action.

And don't feel sorry for me - I still have an F2 and F3HP to keep me company. 😀

When I read the thread header, I was a little worried about which sort of F4S you had in mind:😱

Glad to know it's not one of these. Though apparently the USA sold a bunch of them to, for instance, Iran....

Well, Dave, there's the Navy Blue Playboy edition--

There are of course compact variants, but they're not exactly pocketable:

--I think we'd have to classify them as Large Format.😉
