I am on my last piece of these because they keep falling off of my M4.

I am thinking about adding glue to the equation so that it stays on. Though, I am very afraid about leaving permanent marks on the viewfinder or metal ring itself. Any recommendations on what glue to use that has decent holding power and easily removable for leather to metal?

Another related question: the felt around some of my metal push on lens caps are peeling. What the recommended glue can I use to repair these?

My preferred glue for most things camera related is Gem-Bond

If you can't get that where you are I'm sure you can get an equivalent. It sticks anything to anything else and will peel off hard surfaces later if you want to remove it.

You could also use it to fix the felt on your caps but I usually replace it completely as, when it wears, the fit becomes loose. Replace it with self-adhesive flocking material.

DAG Camera Parts has a snap on plastic cover for M camera eyepieces. It stays in place and keeps the metal from scratching your glasses. I think the price is fifteen usd but well worth it.

I have the same issue with the AkiAsahi donuts. They slip also when going in and out of a bag. I think they are the best solution to glasses wearers though. I've been planning on just using contact cement to keep them in place. I have Weldwood contact cement, but Plio-Bond is another. You could also use rubber cement if you coat both surfaces then let it tack before fixing it in place similar to how you'd use contact cement. Contact cement is stronger than rubber cement.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I am going to take care of it now....
