I got my new SD card yesterday.
Oh yes baby. The whole camera has sort of sprung to life. No it's not DSLR speedy, but it's certainly made enough of a difference to change the whole shooting experience to be more pleasant.
Old card - decent spec - 16Gb 15Mb/s Sandisk.
New card - high spec - 8Gb 45Mb/s Sandisk.
Highly recommended. The 8Gb card should still hold around 500 RAW images; more than a single battery's worth at any rate, and a lot more than I usually shoot in a day.
For backup I will have the 16Gb card and cheapo batteries, with the fast card and Fuji battery taking care of most days shooting.
The price was very reasonable from 7dayshop - only £27.99. Which is a whole lot better than the ~£70 you pay for these things on the high street.
