Great movie in every sense. About Truman Capote and the writing of "In Cold Blood"

I can't think of another film that's as directly and forcefully addressed an artist's ultimate work.

If you're interested in Avedon (a youthful version of him plays a tiny bit part) or James Baldwin (powerfully mentioned...you may know he wrote a book with Avedon) or novels or journalism, this is a crucial film.

Spare, clean, laser-cut. No BS, no fake emotions, nothing you'd expect.

I won't link to reviews of "Capote," the movie, but here's the book Capote wrote:

Justification for mention on Rangefinder Forum? There's Avedon (and Baldwin) fwiw, but if you simply relax and imagine the smell of cigarettes, bourbon and perfume, you'll experience an important corner of NYC in the era of the early fashion greats and the best of the Magnum photographers.... I'm stretching here, but go see this great movie. Most importantly, it addresses "Art," and I don't think many films have done that meaningfully before.
