Im assuming its gold plastic... anyway I think they could make the bessa look "hip" if they released it in a few colors, it being plastic and all it wouldnt be hard to do.

I wouldn't hammer nails with a Bessa. But then too, I wouldn't hammer nails with a FED 2.

The Bessas are tough enough.

Actually... and I'm gonna get burned for it... I kinda like it! It seems to be the same colour gold as the Leica Bophimel (or whachamacallit), which I like. I don't quite fancy the black in combo with the gold. A dark wood would have been better, I guess.

When I looked at that Gold-R, I wasn't for some time sure what to think of it. At first it seemed sort of appealing, but the longer I looked the geekier I found it. It beats the purpose of an RF doesn't it? I mean, RFs are for unobtrusive shooting, and this one would draw stares. The only interest it would raise is 'hey is that real gold?'. Whether it can take pictures is not material..

This is an oddity that's comparable to a talking dog; everyone would want to hear it, but noone would be interested to listen what it actually has to say..

I think it looks alright, but it would have to have a matching lens on it to make it compleat. But each to their own.
