I got a new unused Jupitar-8 and lens hood from AlexPhoto. Took just over a week. I have to admit I was unnecessarily weary of ordering anything from Russia but transaction went well. I had read that AlexPhoto's prices were a little on the high side. But I can't complain about a good quality new lens for $34. (No Yak string though, bummer)

Glad your purchase from the FSU went well... I was also a little wary to begin with, & took exactly your route with AlexPhoto... I paid on the upper end of the going price (at the time) for a contax/kiev mount J-12, but it arrived quickly (~9days) and was in beautiful cosmetic/mechanical condition. Definitely worth any extra cost!
I have since bought again from the FSU and have only had good experiences so far... Lucky maybe, but choosing a reliable seller with good feedback will probably help avoid any headaches. Some lenses seem notorious for being a little stiff to focus/out of adjustment etc & paying the extra $ for these items from a reputable seller seems to make sense.
