Good labs and film deals in Stockholm

I moved to Stockholm temporarily a month or so ago and I was just wondering if anybody knows which shops have the best deals on film. Prices seem to vary a bit. Also, which labs are good for developing.

Very grateful for any help.

Developing + film: Svenska Kort

Developing costs 35 kr for color rolls and 40 kr for B/W.
You can often get color films (only negatives) developed within 30-60 minutes.
B/W depends on if he's got other films to develope you can get the same day, but often within a day or two. He sells American Tri-X for 30 kr/roll and his other films are quite cheap too.

For film you can also check out Schönherrs Foto, pretty cheap too.

You can always order stuff from www.scandinavianphoto.se and choose to pick up the order locally in their store in Stockholm for no extra charge. Otherwise, mail order from www.photax.se is recommended. Whatever you do, shop around a bit - prices on film do vary a bit. But with a price of 30 kr/roll for Tri-X at Svenska Kort, you really don't need shopping around... :) I suppose that film is grey import stuff.

He rolls them himself! :) Gert is a great guy with lots of stories. He's special in a great way.

That explains the price of 30kr :)

To live in Stockholm is great for any M user. It's too bad tjat I live 10miles away from the capital and I order from Photax.se instead. But now I'm considering for film bulks from freestyle to roll films myself :p Dollar is cheap even Ilford films there :eek::bang:

Maybe you could get the guy to roll some Eastman Kodak 5222 (Double-X) so you could get some seriously low prices... That would be cool. :)
 
Hmm, funny story: so I finally went down there to Svenska Kort. Very nice man indeed, and a great, charming little shop. However, he doesn't sell Tri-x anymore. When I asked him why, he just dismissed it as "nåt gammalt skit" (some old crap). I think this is so weird. And it's not the first time I've heard this kind of statement from a shop owner. What the hell is it with Tri-x that puts some people off? "Old technology" they say, but so what? As long as it creates unique, good results, what's the problem?

He sold me a roll of Neopan for 50 kroner (which is ok, but not partucularly cheap, I believe, or what?) - a film I haven't actually tried before. Quite curious to see the result of that. But there just is something with the Tri-x that appeals to me, and I don't think I'll change film. Or will I have to? Is Tri-x going to bite the dust at some point. What do you think?
 
arnulf, it is time to forget Svenska Kort,. blaah.. times changes and more and more hate that old scrap of silver plastic stuffs.

you can order from some nice online shops instead.. good luck
 
What! He doesn't roll them anymore!? I bought some just a month ago or something.. Strange. Isn't HP5+ the Ilford equivalent of the Tri-X?
 
That's right!! It looked like he just stopped selling it, because there was an empty shelf with a Tri-x sticker on it. He doesn't sell any Ilford film either. Thought it was a bit strange. I really thought Tri-x still is a relatively popular film. Isn't it a little weird that he'd just stop selling it?
