Good news : Leica rebates !

Not too much I hope, just put a large bid down on an Epson on 'that well-known auction site'. :(
I am not sure will be too impacted. It has almost become a memorablia so its price is a bit disconnected to pure innovation market logics and pricing.

When used M8's become available for little more than $2000, one would have to be a serious fan of the R-D1 to pay $12-1500 for a R-D1(s).
Well, though I now own the M8, I am not selling the R-D1 even if it does not see much use. It is a great camera and remains the first digital rangefinder ever. This is also part of the used price IMO.

Presumably this is a consequence of the recovery of the Yankee douleur. $1,55 > 1,29/euro implies there's room for a rebate...

Cheers,

R.

Rebates now available in the UK.

M8 is now around £2200 with rebate

M8.2 is £3800 no rebate

Who seriously thinks the 8.2 is worth nearly twice the price?
