Good price to pay for a user Contax G2?

I have a friend offering to sell his Contax G2 at a "friendly" price, don't have many details yet, but it is a user body, works perfectly but with plenty bright marks, no dents.

What's a good price to offer him without being offensive?

I have a Leica M2 and Nikon FM2/F3....would picking this up be redundant? I've always liked the look..but always hear complaints about the viewfinder. I could ignore those complaints though if i can snag it at a good price and find a 45/2. Thoughts?

Under $300 is pretty optimistic. It also depends on Black/Silver color choice. Black has a premium.

I think i'll offer $250 and see how good of a friend he is haha.
