Of all my film cameras, I've had the most success with, you guessed it, two of the scale focus ones. That may be because I've owned those two longer than any of the rangefinders or SLRs and thus have had the most experience with them. But I think there's some kind of simplicity that lets me concentrate more on composition and the moment, rather than peering through a viewfinder worrying about focus. Possibly.

That has been my experience too.
In use the small dim and sometimes out-of-alignment rangefinder patch on
most compact rangefinders is often more of a distraction than a focus aid.
Give me a scale focus camera any day!

For a few years a couple of decades ago I used nothing but a Rollei 35. My kids were young and we have some great shots in the family albums.
