Great sky - don't fret about the scanner.
I can't wait to get back out to our house in Tucson. We leave Saturday AM for a brief five day visit.
As the teen girls would say about your pic, "I am sooooo jealous."
I had a similar sky in upstate NY a couple of weeks ago. But the only camera in the car was my F3 with B&W. At first I decided to just skip such a spectacular sight - but then figured - what the heck, why miss the shot altogether?
Apologize for a SLR shot and hope these scans "make it" to the website - I'm really bad at uploads!

Scary thing is, I almost went into a ditch looking at the sky and waiting until I got to the right "venue" all the while thinking that:
A) Hey, I'm chasing the Sun - it moves faster than me!
and,
B) SH*T, I only have B&W in the camera!!!
