A couple of auctins at the Goodwill site that maybe helpful/interesting to some of you.
B-30 close up lenses
and a lightmeter
some of the TLR shooters here might want the closeup set and the light meter seems like it would be a good match to some of the vintage gear we use.

Oh, sure! That camera was one of the first I ever owned - my dad bought it for my sister at a pawn shop back in the 1970's. She didn't want it, so I traded her for it. I love it!

Oh, most definitely! The adapter is fiddly, sort of a pain in the tuchus if you know what I mean. Most Yashica 635's had the three-element Yashicor lenses, not the four-element Tessar-clone Yashinon (but some definitely did). The Yashicor is soft - I think pleasantly so. With 35mm film, it becomes a very nice 80mm f3.5 portrait lens - very soft, yet not too soft - the 35mm is right out of the middle of the lens - the meat, so to speak. And the 35mm kit places the rectangular frame in portrait orientation, so you don't have to go through the ugly contortions that made certain most TLRs would always be 6x6 format - no one likes laying on their side to get a shot.
I run a roll through mine every so often - it has some advantages, but admittedly not many.

Too bad they don't ship internationally - I'm currently looking for Rolleinars on Ebay, but they rarely go for less than 25-30 Euros - for a single one, not a set of three!

Not sure what the "reason" is for not shipping overseas, Roman. The buyer pays shipping after all. My biggest problem with the site are the pictures. I can live with the fact that the folks doing this don't know anything about cameras but geez the shots are bad. Less beer and more light!
Hey, I might have a new signature to go with my boring avatar.

I went back to check on the meter and found this:
BLACK YASHICA MG-1
6$ right now and about two days to go.
Better pictures than usual.

For anyone interested, there's a Canonlite D for $6.50. Ends 4-28-05
MODS: Wouldn't this thread be better off in the 35mm Classifieds forum? Maybe stickified? (Is that a word?) Just a suggestion. More people might see it there.

I also put the MG-1 in the Yashica thread. I wasn't quite sure where to put these as I am not the seller. I guess I will stick 'em in the classified threads.captainslack said:For anyone interested, there's a Canonlite D for $6.50. Ends 4-28-05

Would it make any sense to have in that area a seperate forum as a "heads up" in addition to "I'm selling/WTB" to distinguish them?
