Hi, My Gossen Digisix exposure meter is playing up a little. The "read" button works only intermittently. I'm sure that it is a simple button onto a PCB and would be fine if cleaned.
I need to open the case, it looks like it snaps together. Anyone know how to split the case open gently?

After only a short while the meter "read" button became useless. I was pressing really hard without getting a reading.
I had a close look at the holes in the back of the meter. What looked at first like snap inserts were in fact brass screws which had been painted or coated in something.
I scratched the paint off and out of the screw slots, removed the two screws in the recess and the third screw near the cone and the back lifted off.
A quick clean of the pcb and popper with Iso, re-assembly and it's just fine.
A word of caution if you clean yours: keep the meter face down whilst you do this, there is a tiny spring which gives the dial its indent which will fall out if done face up.
