'I'm getting the M9' he said, with my jaw agape.
A few days of hunting around later and i procured the discontiuned Nokton 35mm 1.2, a ultron 28mm 2.0 while he bought the nokton 50mm 1.1.
Prior to the digital M i've been shooting a film M6 which i recently sold a few months back due to it being severly underused.
Coming back to the M9, it all seemed so familiar yet different at the same time. It was different because i found it odd that i didn't have to advance the shutter after each shot. It felt odd because i could preview each and every shot after i depressed the shutter. The 'Automatic mode' should be automatically turned off to ensure ease of metering by the user as well.
All things said, i'm starting to get the hang of it and perhaps the way to use it is (for me, at least), is to treat it as a film leica and consider each and every shot as if it were to be shot on film (as tempting as it is to shoot away and preview the shots immediately!)
some test shots:

make each shot count!
i love the first photo of the singapore flyer. both gloomy and whimsical at the same time. Hoping to pick up an M8 or m8.2 for myself soon and join the club!

To Light & Love ...
Coool Meven ...Congrats & Love the First Shot !
well it looks like Your Dad is Celebrating a Grand 'Fathers Day' ...
I like the way You choose to shoot...holding back & treating it like a Film M ...Fun Game to keep You Disciplined and Motivated
Will You still be shooting medium Format coupled with your Digi M9 workflow ?
