Hello! I've been loving my GRD for almost two months now and have recently been trying out the Snap focus. It's great to use with smaller apertures and often gets my shots exactly where I want them to be. After much searching on the forums here and elsewhere, I'm unable to find anyone who can direct me towards the way to change the snap focus distance on my GRD1. I have read its changeable on the GRDII, III, and IV, but nothing can be found about the oldest sibling! If anyone here can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. The damn option must be hiding real good :bang: Thanks!

The GRD (original version) does not allow you to change the distance. This was changed in the III if I remember correctly.

Still there is a way to set snapfocus distance manually on with the GRD as well as with most other digital Ricoh compact cameras.

Focus on on some object which is, let say 6m as example, away from the camera with a halfpress only. After that, switch to manual-focus. The camera then uses the last used focus distance.
I've set the focus-options to the ADJ-menu so that it can be changed quickly.
