Does anyone come across the sensor dust problem in your GRD? I am so annoyed by the black dot in my picture in GRD, anyone has idea how to deal with the issue?

I have owned my GRDII now for almost a year and so far, no dust problems, and I have shot a lot of photos in all kinds of conditions. However, I have a friend who owns one and he has the problem. Yes, I would be interested too in hearing from other folks with this problem.

I never had any dust problems with my GRD I but had it once on my GRD II. I have been able to get rid of it by hiting the camera against my palm a few times with and without the lens extended, you might have to hit it a bit harder but it should help and it's worth a try if you are out of your warranty.

I have not had any dust problems with my GRD either. I live in the most dirty dusty neighborhood in one of the dirtiest cities in China and have been hauling mine around to all sorts of places and nothing. I have got cat litter dust in it, plaster powder, coal dust, sand, dirt, paint chips, and just about every other bad thing that will give me ten types of cancer on the outside of the lens barrel and still ok.
