I am on the far side of the world from CameraQuest. Emailed Stephen Gandy last thursday evening with a query about a silver VC Meter II. He responded within seconds. I sent the funds via Paypal over the next hour or so.
The meter arrived on my desk the following Tuesday lunchtime. Amazing. Thanks Stephen.
I know there is a bit in the forums about the VCII, but I'll just add this: I happened to have my D200 and Hexar AF in the office when the VCII arrived. It agreed with them both so closely as didn't matter (for example, the D200 sometimes went for 1/40th as against 1/30th for the VCII).
The spinning of the dials is so intuitive that hitting the optimal exposure is very, very quick. The silver matches the Silver Hexar AF perfectly.
Can't wait to get it home and set it up on the M4, which is its ultimate destination.
