GSN accessory kit

Been lurking here for most of the summer (and picking up a great deal of excellent information.) I recently picked up a GSN wide angle/telephoto accessory kit. The screw-in lenses appear to be in nice shape and they came with a viewfinder. One thing the kit lacked, however, was instructions. Does anyone know if focus is maintained with the accessory lens attached? There are a set of red numbers around the edge of each accessory lens that seem to be focus compensation settings, but I thought I'd ask before burning a roll of film.
