I finally have a working GSN and took it with me to a party over the weekend with a roll of 400CN in it. I was impressed by the fact that with the lens wide open, I was able to take handheld indoor photos. I think the bokeh on this camera is really great, but in a darkly lit room at 1/60th with a wide open lense the depth of field is so shallow that it is a challenge to focus on more than one person at a time. When I focused on one person, the images had almost a 3D effect to them.
I can't say I'm that happy with the 400CN, though I'm stuck with Wallgreens prints at this point as I have no scanner.
I'm running a roll of color through now, and hopefully will have that done by this coming weekend.
I will mention that the shallow DOF is quite a refreshing effect after so many years of P&S and digital photog. with no DOF control.

Gotta catch the light.
Welcome to the club. I really like my GT and it's been the single most expensive camera purchase ever. That's because it led me back into the world of rangefinders and film in general. The lens is surprisingly sharp as well as giving pleasing bokeh. I personally don't mind 400CN as long as it's got generous exposure. It's also got a wide exposure latitude. I too like the DOF control and it's also got the ability to take long exposures (automatically) which is nice if you've got a tripod handy.

Hey Hal,
Yep these are nifty cameras! I have a GS and after a couple of years of digital, it's nice to have more control of your shot, I agree. A word of caution....... these things can give you GAS !!
After only a few weeks of interest and use of one, I now have a Lynx 14 and a Canon G3 QL17 is on the way ! It has been said that there is no cure for this condition !!

When you have your b/w film processed at Wallgreens, or wherever, have the images scanned to a CD in tiff format, no prints, and then you can transfer them to your computer, work with them, and make your own good prints. This works well for me. Have fun.

Flashover, my wife is the worst kind of pack-rat known to mankind. Stuff gets stuffed where ever it can be stuffed, and nothing leaves unless I sneak it out.
