My guess would be a Nikon S2 or perhaps a Nikon S.

In the famous picture of him taken by Feininger in 1951, Dennis Stock - Wikipedia he had a Leica IIIF I think. Maybe the same?

No truth to the rumor that the term "stock photo" is named after him. 🙂
