Sean Reid has produced a useful (and free) overview of Adobe Lightroom's newly integrated Flat Field feature. Here's Sean's intro text:

"
As many of you may know, from my lens tests, I have long been working with Adobe's "Flat Field" plug-in to correct for color drift (and sometimes luminance vignetting). I have also encouraged the company to integrate this tool more closely into the program (as have many Lightroom users). Adobe has now done that in Lightroom 8.3, which was released today, and the company asked me to prepare a guide for using it. Originally they asked me to do a video but -- not surprisingly -- I'm more comfortable with words and still pictures. That review and guide can now be found here: https://www.reidreviews.com/examples/flatfieldnew.html
"

Note that this is one of the few articles on the site which is located outside of the subscription section. That way it is available to anyone and can be linked from Adobe's blog, help documents, etc. I should note, though, that I have no financial relationship with Adobe and was not paid to create this article. I think that Flat Field is a very important tool and hope that this article will help photographers understand how to use it effectively.
