We're all light!
So, I was dropping off my "Equinox" rolls at my friendly, local Rite-Aid this afternoon, filling out the envelopes (trapped between a pair of those talking Kodak kiosks...talk about a weird stereo effect). They were getting their usual big shipment in, and it seems they have a sale on, so I casually glanced behing me where the film and flash cards and sold cheek-to-jowl (note: their minilab runs a decent quantity of film, and somehow manage not to scratch it, but that might be because I don't let 'em cut it , or even make an index print). Normally, I wait until I find an excuse to head into Manhattan and hit B&H or, if I'm pressed for time and/or just lazy, Adorama. But a 2-for-1 sale is just too much to resist. Especially at NYC prices.
To wit: They've got Fuji's reliable Superia 400 Xtra, with three 24-exposure rolls plus one 36-exposure roll per box, included in this sale. (Alas, Kodak's BW400CN three-pack isn't) It's about $11 per box here in Brooklyn, a tad pricy compared to anyplace beyond the five boroughs, but getting a second box gratis was all the push I needed to buy.
So, no Blue-Light-Special jazz here, just a nice deal that caught me off-guard.
