Any recommendations for a half case for the R3A ? I looked at the ZHOU on ebay but it looks like the AE Lock Button is not accessable.
One more queston: What is the purpose of the "Trigger Winder" accessory and is it a desirable addition ?

the Zhou case doesn't reach up to the AE lock button, but you might not like how the "bump" on the back of the R3A might interfere with the fit of the case (it's not made to contour around the "bump")

I have a Zhou case on my R3A. I agree with binky that it does not cover the AE lock button. I had not noticed that the case doesn't contour around the bump on the body, so it doesn't perturb me. The case has two bumps of its own: one on the back which sits to the right of the thumb, and one on the front which sits under the first three fingers. That's with my fairly small hand anyway. I find that I tend to position my thumb to the left of both the bump on the body and the bump on the case, and it feels quite comfortable.

I've purchased 2 Luigi's, 1 Ciesta & 1 Zhou half cases for my M bodies and R3A.
Luigi cases in my view are the best cases full stop. However, in terms of price, they're very very expensive.

Ciesta leather cases are very attractive perhaps half the price of Luigi, and in my view, not as well made.

Zhou cases are very functional and if I recall correctly about $60. Fast service, functional case.

I've actually got a Luigi half case with a built-in grip on my R3A. I had purchased a basic model, and Luigi misplaced my order. Eventually, after a couple of months, Luigi came in big-time and shipped me a case with a grip at no extra charge.

The Ciesta & Zhou cases work, but when I pick up my R3a or M6 with the Luigi cases, it just makes me smile. I can still smell the fresh leather scent on Luigi's cases each time I bring it up to take a picture.
