I'm usually not interested in anything wider than 20/21mm equivalence but this looks promising--13.5mm equivalence, very low distortion, excellent center resolution fading to decent and fair at the edges, good build quality. It got really good laboratory reviews on Lenstip and Optical Limits (AKA Photozone) and likewise hands-on reviews from a couple of trustworthy Fuji bloggers. I like the size, seems pretty perfect for the smaller Fuji bodies.
Apparently it's very new, at least here in the US. B&H has it as a pre-order for $499. I almost hit the buy button but I wasn't feeling adventurous (and I just bought a used Fuji 50mm so I'm on an austerity plan right now). Anyone have any experience with it? Or care to be a trailblazer, buy one and post their findings?
