Hi everybody,
I've been a bit busy for the last two years, with no time for posting, but at least some time to read constantly and enjoy this second home as always... :)
I´m seeking some advice: I need to correct the vertical alignment on one of my Bessas T... Now that I live in South America (Colombia) and with no relatives travelling to the U.S. until Christmas it seems, unfortunately I can't take the huge risk of sending a camera by mail to the U.S. for service, because most cameras get "lost" inside Colombia (of course) before getting there... Even if extra shipping insurance is used, post companies here don't refund money for lost items because there's an accepted yet unbelievable situation of unsecurity and corruption... I wish I had someone going there to send the camera with to Stephen, but I wouldn't really be able to do it for many many months, so I need to do it here for myself, or at least get some information to give to an old repair guy here who's never touched any Bessa... He doesn't even use internet (!)...
A few years ago I did it on my R3A and it was easy: hot shoe removal and great access to the alignment screws... But today I removed my T's hot shoe to do it and, surprise, there's no hole below the hot shoe to reach the rf screws: just hard rough top plate... So I need some advice here... Maybe someone around here has done it on a T...
By the way, nearly six years using Voigtlander, now: four Bessas and three CV lenses, a lot of shooting and travelling, and not a single problem ever... Nothing! Thanks a lot, CV!!!
Well, here I'll be waiting for any comment, because everything will help as I have no idea on how to do it... And I haven't been able to find anything at all on the web about how to do it on a T specifically... It was the first M Bessa and I guess it's different to the rest of them...
Thanks everyone in advance!!!
Cheers,
Juan

A forum member (laptoprob) wrote back on 2006:
"RF alignment is behind the chrome screw on the back of the T, below the left meter led.
Vertical is by turning the bezel inside the rangefinder window I think."
Does anybody know about this?
I don't know what a bezel is... And how can it be turned? Wich tool should be used for turning it?
Thanks!!!
Cheers,
Juan
