Haskell Wexler has died

I was sad to see that the great cinematographer Haskell Wexler has passed.

His work was a great inspiration. You could pull just about any frame from one of his movies and make a stunning print. A great artist.

Only saw a few of his movies -- The Thomas Crown Affair, Coming Home, and In the Heat of the Night. I should go back and look at them.

I saw One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe; and I think Matewan (about coal miners and the union). And probably others, as his name is so familiar. At 93, he had a long run!
