Hi, im thinking of buying a 50mm lens is the fle version much sharper than the non-fle version?
found this add of a fle version, does the small scratch on the front element affects the photo?

You will see main difference if you shoot close up. Another advantage might be, that most non FLE 50/4 were not CF, so they have an older shutter and different filter size.
This lens is exceptional, if you need it, go for it. The scratch - if small - on the front element should not make any difference. If big, could deteriorate the bokeh, if it is something you care for in a 50/4.

Wow, nice photo. 
You can see the scratch on the last photo in the link, looks very small.
