Hasselblad users, it is time to post your photos of your gear!

Show us what YOU have and share your love for medium format. There are many of us who would love to know more about the Hassy systems.😀

In the meantime, I will continue with my CiroFlex shooting as I can find the time. Dreaming of a 'blad is not such a hard way to go, is it?🙂

Here is my babyyyy, although I think I need to get it CLA'd soon. The focusing ring is a little difficult to turn.

I don't think I would trust another medium format camera - it was the first one I learnt how to use, and it will be the last.

I like the black 70s lenses, with chrome bodies. Classic vintage Blad stuff. I have a few

The 135mm F5.6 Zeiss Planar-S is an unusual lens in that it does not have a focus helical; It goes on the Hasselblad Bellows and focuses from 1:1 to infinity with that unit. As a long Planar it is one of the sharpest lenses in the lineup. Amazingly it is quite hand holdable and usuable that way.

The 30mm F3.5 Zeiss Distagon Fisheye is perhaps the rarest of that lineup, excepting maybe the 250mm UV Sonnar which is really a specialty lens with limited practical applications. I got a great price on this one, although I took out a smallish personal loan at the time to pay for it. At the time it cost as much as a Superwide C! But still I am so glad I have the lens. The fishy lens bayonets apart to insert internal filters (which I have in quantity).

They made over a hundred accessories for this system. I would say I have about 3/4 of them in the studio.
I call the Hasselblad system "The Erector Set of Photography". Just seems fitting. Configure it as you wish.
No other manufacturer of MF, has even close to the number of accessories they made for these cameras.

Godfrey,

That Super Wide C is absolutely lovely.
Exactly the model and vintage I would need to fill in my collection. 🙂

Used to be a Hasselblad 500C/M user, but after three or four years of not using this kit, I sold it. Was a beautiful camera and the images were fantastic, but didn't really have much call for it with the work I've been doing of late.

^ That's almost as pretty as a Bronica S2 I used to have . Just couldn't come to grips with
the noise the mirror/shutter made . Peter

I struggle with it too and have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this camera. I initially found it awkward to hold, but that eased when I realised I wasn't holding it as Victor intended (thanks to the advice on here). I still find it less than ergonomic. I also dislike the noisy mirror and rear flap sound, but maybe I've just been been spoiled with my Rolleiflex? Lenses and accessories are overpriced. I had a back lock up on me whilst on holiday which didn't fill me with confidence, then I discovered it also had a light leak.

And yet I still love the damn thing because it's a joy to own and use such a lovely piece of engineering and design. It's incredibly flexible and ultimately, it takes wonderful photographs.

Thank you! It's a really nice example of a 1978 vintage SWC. I acquired it from an old photo buddy who had two of them. Since this photo was made, I've had a full service done, fitted the correct Really Right Stuff tripod adapter, and acquired an original Hasselblad lens hood for the 38mm Biogon.

I looked into having it updated to SWC/M spec, but Dave Odess is out of the required parts now and cannot get them any more. If I had that, I could use the Polaroid back on it, but it's a minor thing. (I can still use the back on the 500CM. Hmm, maybe I'll shoot a few with it today. :angel🙂

Jeez, these are some beautiful cameras! I had wanted a Hasselblad for the longest time but when the prices for good used ones came down to where I could justify buying one, I had already shut down the darkroom and switched to totally digital.

The cameras are simply art forms, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice Godfrey. I have the same but 1979. Looks just as nice as yours including the 38 shade. Sorry no pix of it but if you look at yours you will see mine. Just put a roll of film in this week.
