You did well on that one.
But it has strap lugs... and you know what that means.

Actually, I was surprized to get it for that. I put a max at $75 and never expected it to hold - I thought it would go for a lot more.
Camera pricing seems to be fickle - it usually goes UP for anything I want! I quess I lucked out this time!

Ahhh, you know your Land cameras! One of Polaroid's best, in my humble opinion!

It got stolen, together with other camera equipment, in january.

Together with some very nice equipment unfortunately. I take it there has been no sign of your stuff Pherdinand?

Nope. Three months ago there was a big News, the police catched some burglers who were supposedly behind 200 (!) burgleries in the city. Still, the one at our house is "unsolved" (and, probably, forgotten).

I'm sorry to hear that.
I now lock my camera gear away, with my kids home from college I can't trust them to secure the house when they go out. We have a burglary/movement detection system in our home but to be honest I don't think its much good.

I am truly sorry. There is nothing that makes you feel any more violated than having someone invade your house - regardless if anything was taken or not.
It's not even about the loss of material things (which is bad enough), but just that someone had the B*LLS to come into my house un-invited and help themselves to things that don't belong to them!!! :bang:

thanks f the nice words... In fact, for me it IS more about the stolen stuff (which were not insured), but I know what you mean, i know people who could not sleep at home for weeks after a burglery.

That, unfortunately, is the case with a lot of us I'm sure (not having our stuff insured). I didn't mean to minimize the loss, but for me it just makes my blood boil that some people have no respect for other people's property.
This CC is coming from California, so I HOPE it's not yours! That is why I don't deal in those "it's too good to be true" situations. The thoughts of getting someone else's stolen property makes my skin crawl.

My M5s need red dots!
Before leaving for Costa Rica my wife and I made a trip to the insurance company office. There I left a list of my camera gear (with approximate values) and, for about $14 extra per month, all my cameras are fully insured against theft. In other words, had I been mugged in Costa Rica, or if my gear had been lifted there (or anywhere else, in the US or abroad), I'd get some compensation for its loss.
I don't know how insurance works (and costs) in Europe, but it's worth taking a look into.
BTW, MrRanger... you'll never go too far... Have fun shooting!
