Personally, I don't see the point of it. If it's cold, it causes "shrinkage" which is embarrassing if you're a guy. You can also get arrested for not wearing anything in most parts of the world. I simply don't see how taking pictures without wearing clothes improves your photography. It might also make your subject uncomfortable, especially if they don't know who you are, out doing street photography.

And yet, many people do it.

I haven't.

My problem is lack of imagination. What do you do so that a nude looks artistic?

I guess there are lots of ways to do that, but I just don't find myself too interested into doing this kind of photography.

I have to confess that sometimes when I go off to my secluded little darkroom/studio in the trees to develop a couple of films I will divest myself of all apparel.

Does this classify me as a nude photographer ... or maybe just an eccentric menace to decency! :p

I don't shoot naked unless I'm home - I get too cold and have no place to carry my film if I'm naked. ;)

I most certainly have not! I have remained fully clothed throughout all of the porno stuff.
I am disappointed you should think otherwise

I took a photo of my wife 1/2 n'ked one time years ago. She gave me a stern look and I lied stating there was no film in the camera. I immediatily ran down to the basement & developed my first roll of film. It was Plus X125 in D-76. Oh what fun!;) I developed it with my clothes on BTW. Wearing loose pants of course!:D

I have yet to make a photograph without the aid of my clothes. I should try it sometime.
Sometime when I am not in public, because getting arrested sounds like no fun, and getting arrested while naked sounds like even less fun.

...not even in a dream. Maybe I am old fashioned and "outdated" like some film based cameras.

I generally process film fully clothed. I've no interest in working otherwise. I did take a "glamour" photography workshop about fifteen years ago. To be quite honest, it really wasn't all that interesting. I prefer landscape/street/architectural shots. Now if a naked young woman happened to run by while I was otherwise occupied, I might attempt to get a shot! :D

Nick, I live north of the 49th parallel... of course it's possible to shoot naked but you have to be hardy. Usually most naked photographers are coming out of a sauna and they are typically baked. Etymologically they are "baked" in several meanings of the word.
