Having a great time in Australia...

Hi everyone,

I didn't have time to send a cheerio before I left for my trip home to Australia, but since I have a spare minute I thought I'd say a quick hello... I'm having a great time up on the Atherton tablelands just outside of Cairns. We are completing the 2nd year of a research project looking at leaf litter dispersal in rainforest streams. I feel very lucky indeed to be working in so many amazing places! Here is a quick snap of me taken during a hike the other day... The rainforest is just spectacular!

Hey, thanks guys! I'm having a blast... The weather has been warm & sunny pretty much the whole time I've been here... Even went swimming the other day while we were in the Daintree National Park. I have certainly missed the ocean being in Colorado!

Dfin, I took the attached shot to send down to my family in Adeladie... Mum said she paid $18/kg the other day... No such worries up here & the word is that it'll change down south by Christmas.
