Watch that step!
Having Fun w/1956 50mm f1.5 Summarit on Leica M6 - "Leica Glow" & Krazy Bokeh Ahead!
Here`s some samples I shot this afternoon, with a 1956 LTM Summarit 50mm f1.5 on my 1992 Leica M6 with the delightful Emilia Maria posing in some funny poses wearing some original 1950`s Ray Ban Sunglasses and some custom made Vinyl Opera Gloves........
Special thanks to Dr Leo B for the suggested crop on #21 & #25
(this also shows some bokeh details)
All in all a VERY FUN LENS that`s simply a beauty that creates beautiful photos, without a loss of detail and with enough signature and feeling to produce that "LEICA GLOW" - film is Fujicolor ASA 100 shot at f1.5 @ 500/1000 sec in late Florida afternoon sunlight - with very little if any postproduction
(This is the FIRST time I`ve used this lens since I picked it up from a collection of 8 and 16mm Cine stuff *it was originally mounted on a Bolex 8mm movie camera*
and I`m extremely satisfied with the outcome)
I love this lens, I`d NEVER get rid of it, she`s a keeper!
Enjoy!
Tom
PS: I was really happy when the fella at the Drugstore asked all surprised, "what kinda camera are you using?" - "Those photos are great!"
He was really amazed that a lens from 1956 was doing all that work......(half the roll was also with a late 1950`s Canon 50mm f1.4 as well *Retro art/fetish nudes* and some more portraits from Emilia - which I`ll post some samples soon......... he was quite impressed)
