I just saw an ad for a 50/2 Summicron from 1981 for a nice price (~$260). I called the seller and he said it was in perfect condition, ...except that it had internal haze which affected the pictures. I asked if he had tried to clean it and he said no. I will meet him to look at the lens tomorrow. I have only heard of hazy Leica glass from the fifties and sixties but never on such a young lens. Has anyone any experience of this and is it likely to get it clean?
BTW I would use it on my Bessa T. Would there be a mounting problem?
Would be grateful for any advice.

Jacob, there shouldn't be a mounting problem as I'd expect a 1981 Summicron to have an M-Mount. If it's a LTM, then an adpater would ne necessary.

A 24 year-old lens could easily have haze depending upon how it's been stored or the conditions it's been subjected to. Just figure the cost of a CLA into the price and if it's still a bargain, buy it.
