So I've been a happy camper to order a 10 EUR M adapter for my Nikon Z. Also ended up ordering a close up focus adapter for about 40 EUR. I generally don't eschew cheaper alternatives. For instance I loooove cheap tools. I've built a 51 Telecaster and 58 Korina Flying V from scratch largely relying on cheapo tools.

I've been pondering about the (health) quality of these cheap adapters. I know that European legislation requires compliance to various hazardous and chemical substances, but I think compliance/enforcement of these products through certain online market places leaves a lot to be desired.

Should I be worried about the paint on these metal adapters; lead, hexavalent chromium, etc...? I don't think I will be handling the regular adapter much, but the close up focus adapter would be fondled more

What are your opinions/perspectives?

Dunno, as long as you don‘t chew on that adapter 😀
I think we deal with more dangerous substances in everyday life so I wouldn‘t worry too much. Plastics is another story though...
