Hello everyone. Brand new to this forum, but not to the legendary Yashicas. Been using the Electro 35 GSNs since the mid 90's when my granddad passed and I got his minty GSN. That camera was unfortunately stolen in Japan while I was visiting, but has since been replaced with a GT that I picked up for $77 on ebay. It came with a new Interstate battery, all the electronics are functioning flawlessly. I popped the top cover and cleaned the glass and inspected the pad of death, which to my surprise, is pristine. Got the light seals replaced last night, and am running my first roll of film through it.

Last night I also won an ebay auction for the Auto-Up lens. Has anyone used this before? Paid nearly as much for that thing as for the camera, but it comes with the case and original instruction book. I was intent on winning that auction, lol.

I also have the tele and wide angle lenses, with the viewfinder, a original yashica hard case, the shutter cable, and have a flash/mount on the way (another ebay auction).

All I really need now is the ST-7 mini tripod. I had one, but it got stolen with the GSN in japan  Anyway, glad to be here, will share photos as soon as I have some.

Brian

Welcome to RFF Brian. I'm getting ready to test drive a Yashica myself -- a flea market Lynx 14. Enjoy the forum!

Well I just picked up the last accessory that I needed to complete my GT package--the Yashica ST-7 mini tripod. Just won the auction on ebay for 26$ plus shipping. Could not be happier. Also picked up some Fuji Velvia 100F to try after I finish my test roll of Kodak 400 C41. Anyone tried the Velvia in an Electro? I've heard good things, but we'll see soon.

Hi Brian, and welcome. I just picked up an Electro 35 GSN from a flea market. I brought it home and fiddled with it some and the thing came back to life. I plan on replaceing the light seals in it.

I lived in Virginia Beach for six months while I was there on a temporary assignment. I lived just east of "Mt. Trashmore." I really enjoyed it. Never saw so many strip malls in my life as what there are there.

Regards,
Tom Harrell
