Marry the girl, report back in 24 years.

Likely you'll have lots of pictures of your kids and even more gear.

China, one child policy (thank god, 32 million people in this city, not that anyone cares about the one child policy here) but then again that has been scrapped for people my age and younger.

Maybe they should have a one camera policy as well ;)

The problem is that you're bored, what you need to do is to spend the money traveling rather than buying cameras.

Colin, quite amazing collection. What do you use the most? The M6? :)

I try to keep my gear limited. But I guess I have a fable for 50mm lenses. :D

Based on Colin's photo on Flickr, I'd say that he's inspired by his surroundings. Sour grapes?

His a young guy and far from a dentist in mid-life crisis trying to collect cameras. So, I encourage him to go and explore the world and photograph it. That's what every photographer worth his name has done. He also lives in a place close to some of the most photogenic areas in the world.

Anyway, its not sour grapes but peer encouragement.

Now move along and stop being his spokesperson.

Not only is that a nice collection, that's a really nice photograph of the collection. Now I know what to do next rainy saturday.

BTW, what camera did you use to take the picture? ;-)

Feel free to send anything that you feel really bad about (like that M6, maybe?) to me. I will give them all a good home. :)

In times wherein a lot of young people doesn't even show intrest in anything, I don't see a problem here. Seeing his flickr gallery I can see that Colin is inspired with photography, and must be inspired also in the historic value of his camera's and the stories behind it.
Friends of mine buy expensive cars and trade them in in a couple of years (for economical reasons). Nobody criticize such actions. The price they easily pay in a single transactions extends the value of my camera collection, and Collins.
I think Collin is just an enthuousiast.

The other day I almost bought a Nikon F5 for $500. But then it occurred to me that I can go to Cuba for a few days with that money.

Travel is a great antidote to gear acquisition and I thank the old and wise photographer who told me about it.

i think you may have inspired a few rainy day projects colin!

i'm thinking that i'd like a shot of my well manicured 3 kits...

Colin's work with cameras is remarkable. He has earned the right to have as many as he wants. One can tell he uses them.

BTW, nice layout! :)

Same question here, also what kind of lighting and background.

There must be a big softbox or umbrella involved here, correct? :)
