After waiting for the mail for, the hexar AF finally arrived. but sadly, the eyepiece has falled off! :(

1. Is it supposed to be removable?
2. How do I fix it back? I've tried to put it back, but without some sort of adhesive, it looks like it will shake loose and come off again.
3. Which way is it? If I look through the glass, the black surround on the inside takes the shape of a 'arch doorway'- is the arch supposed to be on my left or right?

Thanks

The ring around the eye piece is removable (screws counter clock wise to go off). The eye piece itself shouldn't come off. But it happened to my Hexar AF as well. There's only one way to get it on again, and that's by using a proper glue. Take care with the kind of glue you use, because some glues outgas glass etching materials when they dry (esp. so called 'super glues'). I used a glue that doesn't entirely dry, but stays somewhat sticky and flexible, allowing some expansion/shrinking under temperature changes.

The eyepiece glue job was done on my Black Hexar, but I just had a look at my other Hexar, a Silver. Guess what? Has the arch on the right. In all the years that the Black Hexar had them on the left it never bothered me.. So I guess that it doesn't really matter.
