help me find stolen camera

I am just wondering if there is an email group that may help me to find my husband's camera. He bought it when he was 14 years old in 1966, but I think the camera was a 1963 or 1964 model that had been at the country store where he bought it for a couple of years. It was a Nikon S2. He had the original leather case, but had sewed it himself where the stitching had let go. He had also engraved his name into the camera (I will have to ask him for the details of where his name was engraved), and his name and hometown of Harvard, Ma were written on the inside of the case. Twelve years ago (I think it was November of 1994), my husband and I went to Canada for a long weekend and to research his heritage. We took our brand new pickup truck. We were buying him a bathing suit in the mall in Sherbrooke when our truck was stolen along with everything in it. His camera was one of those items. He still misses that camera, and I frequently find him browsing e-bay hoping to find it. I know there are distinguishing characteristics that would set his apart from others, but he is the one that handled it every day, so he would know better than I. However, I would love it if someday by the miracle of the internet we can get it back again.
Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
