Help needed - Olympus RC rangefinder adj.

Hey greyhoundman, since you seem to know these things maybe you could help me as well. I have the same camera snf the shutter wont cock. The film advance will move but it doesn't seem to have any tension and I can't get the camera to fire. I'm assuming the previouse owner forced the film advance and broke something. Is this a death sentance or can it be repaired? thanks for your help.....
