Hi guys,
i did a shooting session with a friend of mine at NIGHT, in Pont Alexandre III ( lot of standard lamps ). I shot 4 rolls of tri-x. 3 were rated @ 800 and 1 @ 1600. I would like to know what times you recommend for Tri-x rated @ 800 with Rodinal ? Which is the best dilution, 1:25 or 1:50 ? What about agitation , i really don't want to blow the highlights or to get a "ghost" face.
my only experience with rodinal is Tri-x rated @ 200 , and developed for 11 minutes with 1+50 dilution , and 1 inversion every 30 seconds, and it was really good.
Need your help guys, i don't want to miss a roll

ps: i recently set my website http://www.samysnider.com , hope you like the pics :)

You really don't want to use Rodinal for push processing. Rodinal works great with slower speed films up to 400 asa.

If you are going to push or develop highspeed films use something like Xtol, Ilford DD-X or Diafine. Tri-X in Diafine was a favorite for photojournalists for many years.

Hi guys, i finally tried Rodinal ( 1+50 dilution ) for 16,5 minutes, you can see the results on the album " Sur le pont alexandre III " @ http://www.samysnider.com
I love the grain and tones of tri-x @ 800 with rodinal, exactly what i wanted !
