help run RFF

I respect that our kind and generous admin wishes to decline the help of RFF members regarding his loss. Jorge, I would guess that you are separating yourself from strictly RFF concerns. I hope, though, that this thread doesn't get shut down, as I propose that we take this opportunity to help fund this great forum that you run for us, undoubtedly out of your own pocket and passion.

If there were ever a time to donate to RFF and help it run, I would think it is now. I did a search to see if I could add to an existing thread, but it seems like there was never any sort of fund drive posted in nearly two years. The way I see it, we are contributing to the operational costs of running RFF, and in turn defraying the out-of-pocket money that The Big Cheese must kick in just to keep us going with our own corner of the Internet to check in at every few minutes.

Let's do it, and help run RFF. The Paypal button is on the home page, on the left nav. I've got mine in already.

that reminds me that I was going to start a thread suggesting that a small donation be given to RFF by the buyer and/or seller whenever an item is bought/sold through this site.. just a buck (pound, yen, etc) or two via paypal would probably make a nice dent in the monthly costs that Jorge incurs

I don't and will not use Paypal (know too many people who had problems) but if somebody will post a snailmail address I'll gladly send in a check or MO. 🙂 All well worth it. 🙂 Only partial payback for what I've gained from this forum.

And, one thing I do appreciate about this place is that it is free, and those in charge don't either grovel for donations or tease you with "Gold Membership" or other such drek. The quality of people here and the advice here is second to none! 🙂
