Hello everyone,
I apologize in advance if this question has been flogged 1000x before, but my Bessa R3A needs some first-aid.
I have tried to contact Mr Gandy at CameraQuest via email but he hasn't gotten back to me. So I'm looking for a shop (preferably located in N. America) that works on Bessa cameras.
My specific problem is this: in attempting to 'fix' the vertical adjustment of the rangefinder mechanism (it was off a hair, and that bugged me) I royally screwed up the mechanism inside the housing.
The rangefinder mechanism isn't broken, it's just impossible for me to set properly now. I think it's also gummed up and needs a cleaning.
If anyone has any suggestions I would sincerely appreciate it.
Regards,
Bobby

Essex Camera in New Jersey has done good work for me on a number of cameras even an old Bessa I folder. There is also Youxin Ye and of course Don Goldberg as well as Sherry Krauter. Essex and Youxin are pretty fast Don and Sherry take some time.

He's usually very prompt, so I expect he's actually in Japan previewing the new R5-D.

If Stephen is not available, I'd suggest contacting Rich Pinto at Photovillage.
I had some work done on my R2A by them and it was quick and not too pricey.

That's just evil. You raised my hopes for a second, and when reality hit me they got crushed again.

It's my understanding that Youxin Ye only works on Leicas. I don't know whether Don or Sherry will work on a CV. Best bet probably is to follow up w/ the Head Bartender first.
