I just checked Henry's list to see where my Contax is in the lineup.. I was stunned to see it had leaped 4 slots closer to the front of the line.. amazing considering it had been only a couple months since I had last checked

so now I'm at #46.. if I save $3 a week, I'll have enough in my piggy bank to pay for the work when it's actually done.. a year from now

I got on Henry's list on January 27th 2005 when I told him to find a Contax IIa. I was #41.
He found the camera on March 1, I then was #36.
I was notified that my camera was ready on October 31.
I got the Contax IIa on November 8th 2005. It is beautiful.

Well worth the wait, and the time does go fast, but it was hard not to check if I had moved up.

I actually tend to forget that I'm on The List.. my Contax is fully functioning, so I'm in no real hurry to send it in.. and I've got a few other lens holders to use anyway.. I'd just like to get it off my 'to do list'.. but I'm not losing sleep over it

That would be a real bummer to wait years to get to the top--then he croaks! I hope not.

I have 2 HS cameras.....a IIa and a IIIa and when he's done with them they work like they did when new. (I'm old enough to remember). It's worth the wait if your a Contax fan as I am!
