I'm totally not lusting after photo equipment!
I've used my Canonet, Argus C3, and Nikon FE quite a bit in the last few months and I've been incredibly happy. I've finally escaped the clutches of GAS.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's the Christmas season and I'm focused more on giving things to others that aren't camera related. It also helps that I've been more focused on my food than ever before, and planning out a small tasting menu for my family.
I've taken the Argus out with me more than any other camera. I really enjoy it. It's a beast, but it's a beast that takes a good photo (now, anyway, since I've fixed it). My Nikon is great for photos of food, which is what I've been using it for, and family stuff. And the Canonet is my take-anywhere camera now. I'm happy as a clam.
Surprising? Yes. Unexpected? Maybe. I *am* getting my pinhole done, though, in my spare time. I bet I'll get addicted to those and want more.
It helps a lot to be broke, working part time, and trying to better my cooking technique. I end up with more time than I should have.
I'll attempt to get some rolls of film processed this weekend and post some decent ones. I'll be taking black and whites of my tasting menu foods for your viewing pleasure. I'll also post the recipes...if I can remember what I put in everything.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Maybe not nirvana, but a higher plane of existence nonetheless.

Does this mean you shed your Canon P and FSU lens as part of your GAS rehab?

I've got her FSU lens. Part of the sale that netted her the FE.
