How do you do?
I am using Hexanon 28mm f/2.8 on Hexar RF these days.
I think it's pretty good lens..
After getting this lens, I have tried to find any comment or reivew of Hex28, but there are few...
Do you have any comments or reviews on this lens?
Thanks..

Great lens. Doesn't flare. I like mine.

Do a search through Google (not the forum software) on this site and you will find a small number of threads. The lens is highly regarded here.

I have posted a few samples. You should be able to find them.

I have a Hexanon 28mm and a Summicron ASPH 28 - I use the ASPH when I need f2, but otherwise, I use the Hexanon most of the time for the way it renders images. I don't know if anyone else has this preference. It's similar to the pre-asph/asph cron 35 debate, I suppose.

This lens is absolute crap, you can´t produce a decent image with it !
Don´t trust your own eyes, they might betray you ! Only trust comments written in online-fora, they are the absolute truth !

The M-Hex28 is my day-to-day lens, together with my ZI it is the perfect match.
The lens is sharp and contrasty.
I love it.

how is this lens compared to the CLE minolta 28/2.8
ignoring its coating problems, it seems to be pretty much the same, is the hexanon just a revisited version of this old lens? wasnt the hexanon made when the companies were merged?
i see used lens of the same quality, sell for the same amount. im sure they are both excellent
anyone have a diagram of this lens?

Erik:
The 28 f/2.8 M-Hexanon (as well as the 50 f/2 and 90 f/2.8) was released at the same time as the Hexar RF itself, in late 1999, well before Konica and Minolta had as much as a first date. Not sure if the 28 M-Hex owes much in its design to the earlier Minolta (even though both these lenses owe something to various Leitz/Leica/Zeiss formulas to some extent). And, yes, both lenses are outstanding.

I have used this lens quite a bit and was really pleased with the image quality. Ergonomically speaking, I'm not wild about the rather large hood and prefer the physical design of the Leica 28mm 2.8 ASPH.
I ended up buying anew Leica because I was able to swing a really sweet deal in part thanks to the Leica rebate, but otherwise I would have been equally happy buying the Konica.
