I'm just about to buy a new Hexar AF.
Does anybody know where, in Europe, can I get repair or service for this camera?

I could ask here in Seville (Spain), there is a guy that is really good repairing Leica/Canon/Bessa and digital cameras...

Marsopa: Thank you.
I'll be in touch if the camera is still in the shop when I go back tomorrow and I buy it.
And I'll keep your guy in mind for other repairs. Going to Seville would be a nice journey. I estimate about four hours. Good dinner. Nice hotel...

OK, depending on your location it could less than four hours to Seville. I use to go to Portugal frequently (Tavira (every summer) and Lisboa (I hope in a few weeks I'll be there))...

Unbelievable bad luck.
It wasn't there.
Last week I saw it, Konica AF, the 1993 original marked 'Konica' on the front and 'Hexar' on the top, new for €50.
It was hidden back in the shop behind some perfumes and some watches.
I kept cool and showed no particular interest.
Then yesterday I went back to offer €40 for the funny old camera.
It wasn't there. So I asked and the guy just sort of shrugged a bit. Maybe he sold it, or maybe he realized what he had. Anyway it was few words and a bit of body language that said 'No'.
Perhaps another shop another day.
What he did have was a new Yashica old stock that I now need to research. Looked about 20 years old with auto focus and flash. I couldn't see a model designation as it was in a display cabinet. Also €50.

50 euros would have been an amazing steal. I shot a roll of Reala when I had the Hexar AF and came up with 4 or 5 real keepers. Sold it because I really wanted the Hexar RF. Amazing camera + killer lens = crazy delicious.

Yes, €50 last week. Brand new with box and papers. I thought that about €300 at eBay for used mint would be about right, so €500 for new in box.
Anyway, one way or another it wasn't meant to be.
I'm looking into the Yashica now.
