Hello,
I just sold my Hexar RF after few years of using it without any problem. New owner told me, he can hear audible click when tilting camera accompanied by small horizontal movement of frames in the viewfinder.

He even sent me a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTnNoXu3sug

After looking at pictures here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96051

I thing the problem must be in the plate with frames...those two screws on top seem to be pretty solid, so I don't thing those would come loose, but the place seems like it might move a little bit. I'm not sure about magnitude of the movement, so not sure if it would pose any serious problem. I guess parallax movement would make it insignificant anyway.

So, my questions:
Anyone with the same problem? Can some other owner try to tilt it this way without lens to check if it's normal or not? It might be that I just didn't notice it before and it was there all the time.

Am I right with my guess where the problem is or are there any other possible causes?

Without looking at the movie, I thought it might be the glass element that generates the patch image (circled in yellow). The glass is held in the metal holder with gum arabic or some other type glue -- but you would hear that moving the camera side to side, not front to back. It would also only effect the patch image.

Then I watched the movie... what ever it is, it sounds like it has some "mass".

The other big glass elements are in the viewfinder itself -- circled in green. They are held in place with metal frames and screws. I wonder if one of them is loose. There isn't a lot under the lid that has enough mass to make a "clunk" like that.
