I'm thinking of getting a 7sii but I can't seem to find any info on the camera's metering scale. I am hoping that it has the aperture scale of the Hi-Matic 11.

Yes, it is the modern scale, not like the EV scale found on the earlier Himatics.

FWIW, the EV system is not nasty!! When I acquired my first Oly 35SP, I was less than thrilled that it had EV metering. But then I actually used the camera, and lo-and-behold ... it not only works, but it actually quite useful. In some ways it is superior to the default system of today.

Hey Mikey ... he likes it!!!

I am fully ears to a detailed explanation.

The Minolta 7SII meter works in shutter priority AE. You set the shutter speed and
a needle points to the camera-selected aperture (f-stop) on a scale in the finder.
