I'm thinking of getting a 7sii but I can't seem to find any info on the camera's metering scale. I am hoping that it has the aperture scale of the Hi-Matic 11.
Yes, it is the modern scale, not like the EV scale found on the earlier Himatics.

FWIW, the EV system is not nasty!! When I acquired my first Oly 35SP, I was less than thrilled that it had EV metering. But then I actually used the camera, and lo-and-behold ... it not only works, but it actually quite useful. In some ways it is superior to the default system of today.

The Minolta 7SII meter works in shutter priority AE. You set the shutter speed and
a needle points to the camera-selected aperture (f-stop) on a scale in the finder.
